Apart from panel painting, his versatile activities include gobelin works, stage design and fresco painting. His painting style is characterised by a conscious naivety that lends a fairy-tale atmosphere to his artworks.<P CLASS="BIO">
However his intentional primitiveness stems from his deep-rooted interest in folk art rather than from a superficial influence of folk art pieces. The charming as-it-happens solutions, the 'clumsily depicted' forms are enlivened by instinctive, almost rude colours so characteristic of egg-painting.
