Description of the illumination: The Hungarian captain Lél who, after a defeat in a battle, was captured and condemned to death, kills with his bugle the German Emperor.
This illumination is one of the 147 of the Illuminated Chronicle (Chronicon Hungariae Pictum or Chronica de Gestis Hungarorum) commissioned by Hungarian King Lajos I (1342-1382).
