Description of the illumination: The ancestors of the Magyars giving chase to the "legendary stag". This illumination is one of the 147 of the Illuminated Chronicle (Chronicon Hungariae Pictum or Chronica de Gestis Hungarorum) commissioned by Hungarian King Lajos I (1342-1382).
