Scene with Horsemen (fragment)

c. 1500
Marl, 74 x 96 cm
Laczkó Dezső Museum, Veszprém

The relief is a fragment of a large frieze. It was found during the excavations at the Nagyvázsony Castle, in the cistern. The relief probably belonged to a funeral monument. It is also assumed by some scholars that it was part of the tomb of Pál Kinizsi who was buried in the cloister of Vázsony.
