This fragment is one of the 110 pieces which were dicovered in 1937-38 at the Margaret Island of Budapest during the excavation of the Dominican Cloister. The fragments were part of the tomb of Margaret, daughter of King Béla IV, a nun who died in the Cloister in 1271. The tomb was made in 1335-40.
