TIPARY, Dezső
(1887, Horváti - 1967, Budapest)



Painter and graphic artist. He studied at the Budapest School of Industrial Drawing and the School of Design with the support of the scholarship of Hont County. At the latter institution he was taught by Zemplényi. He also worked in Munich and Nagybánya (Baia-Mare, Romania). From 1909 he exhibited landscapes and genre paintings in the set style of postmodernists, as well as etchings in the Budapest Art Gallery, a series of which has been acquired by the Museum of Fine Arts.
