TICHY, Gyula
(1879, Rimaszombat - 1920, Rimaszombat)

He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts as the student of Bertalan Székely, and then in the private school of Simon Hollósy in Munich. His art followed the trend of Art Nouveau graphics. He made intriguing drawings that pointed beyond the Art Nouveau feeling, the cult of the female and emotionalism of the Art Nouveau movement and produced the extremely early appearance of science fiction, i.e. the brave adventures of an imagination inspired by modern technologies.
