Portrait of Zsigmond Szinyei Merse

The first brilliant picture of Szinyei was painted in Jernye in 1868 where he spent his summer holiday. He portrayed Zsigmond, his younger brother with a red cap and a chibouk. He appears to be musing on something. The picture painted with delicate realism is the work of a mature artist.
