STETKA, Gyula
(1855, Királylehota - 1925, Budapest)
Painter. He studied at the School of Design, then in the Academies of Vienna and Munich, respectively. Subsequently, he became a member and assistant professor of the Benczúr Master School. A strong influence of Benczúr is apparent in his art. He made compositions of religious themes (Christ on the Cross in the Saint Stephen Basilica, Budapest), genre paintings and portraits (Szilárd Rökk, Pál Kirdályi etc.).
