The Cemetery of Magyarvalkó

1908
Etching on paper, 22 x 14 cm
Hungarian National Gallery, Budapest

Members of the artist colony at Gödöllő collected etnographic materials, and their pioneering work was to enrich their own art. This etching was inspired by Transylvanian timber architecture, cemetery art and various forms of wooden headboards.
