NAGY, Kálmán
(1872, Kiskunhalas - 1902, Budapest)

Sculptor. He learnt modelling statuettes at the School of Applied Arts. Next he worked in the workshop of György Zala. He modelled the most typical figures of Hungarian folk life (shepherds, swine-herds, and herdsmen, etc.) for the World Exhibition in Paris. He was awarded the Silver Medal for his series (1900). Some of his terracottas are in the collection of the Hungarian National Gallery.
