MOHOLY NAGY, László
(1895, Bácsborsod - 1964, Chicago)



Painter and photograph. During his stay in Berlin in 1920-1923, he painted abstract pictures. He was a teacher at Bauhaus in 1920-1923 and worked together with W. Gropius. He was also engaged in modern architecture, theory of making films and taking photographs. He founded "New Bauhaus", a school in Chicago in 1937.
