MIHÁLY, Rezső
(1899-1972)

He studied in Berlin from 1907. From 1909 he worked in the colony of artists at Gödöllő, where the artistic ideals of Art Nouveau were pursued. He made Art Nouveau style graphics, illustrations for fairy tales and carpets that reflect the influence of Beardsley. His mundane, sometimes humorous tint-drawings are recognised as high quality representatives of Art Nouveau graphic art in Hungary.
