Portraitist. He studied in Debrecen and in Vienna at J. Danhauser. Around 1835 he worked already in Pest. He painted mainly portraits, genres and altarpieces in biedermeier style. He became a specialist in signboard painting. Some of his paintings are exhibited in the Hungarian National Gallery.
