KUNFFY Lajos
(1869, Orci - 1962, Somogytúr)



Painter. After his law studies, he was a pupil of Simon Hollósy in Munich, that of B. Constant and J. P. Laurens at the Paris Academy. He had a studio in Paris for a longer time, yet he returned to Somogytúr for the summers. His pictures reflected sunny French landscapes and lives of the people in the county Somogy ("Harvesters", "Ádám Balogh", "Village Street at Sunset", "Landscape in Normandy" etc). He spent his last years in Somogytúr where he worked until his death.
