KOZINA, Sándor
(1808, Ság - 1873, Felsőpuly)

 Painter of miniatures and portraits. After his philology studies, he learnt to paint in Pest, Vienna, Paris and Italy. In the mid 1830s, he worked as a portraitist in Pest. Later he worked in Russia, in Paris, London and Buda. After 1849, he settled down in Pulya not far from Sopron, which he left twice for two major trips to France. He painted a lot of elaborate miniatures for his orderers, commoners and aristocrats in Upper Hungary.
