Painter. He interrupted his army career, joined Rahl's painter school in Vienna in 1855, then pursued his studies in Düsseldorf in 1856. He exhibited his landscapes depicting mainly castle ruins of Upper Hungary (The Castle of Árva; The Szinyelipóc Valley etc.), made in the romantic style, in Pest from 1866 onwards.
