FENYŐ, Andor Endre
(1904, Baja - 1971, Budapest)



From the mid-50s the Lake Balaton became a dominant motif of his art. He painted his nature-inspired pictures in his studio in Balatonudvari. He organised his first comprehensive exhibition in Ákos Kovács's salon in 1930 and he presented his pictures made in Sweden in the Free Organisation of Hungarian Artists in 1947. He had collective exhibitions in the Budapest Adult Education Centre in 1948, in the Ernst Museum in 1964 and in the Csók Gallery in 1969. His memorial exhibition was organised in the Csontváry Hall in 1976. Some of his pictures are kept in the Hungarian National Gallery and the Stockholm National Museum.
