FEIKS, Jenő
(1878, Kaposvár - 1939, Budapest)

Painter, graphic artist. He studied in Paris and then in Munich under the guidance of Simon Hollósy. His drawings appeared in humour magazines in Hungary and abroad. He painted pictures in the impressionist and Art Nouveau styles also and was elected member of a number of art groups. He had four exhibitions in the Ernst Museum. In 1926 he founded an independent painting school of modern spirit in Budapest, which was very popular at the time. The teachers of this school were József Rippl-Rónai, Márk Vedres and Károly Kernstok, among others.
