Lights without shadows, surfaces transforming objects and masses and harmonies of colours floating matterless are present in the picture. Multicoloured surfaces, the paper, the flatness of a plane coloured with tempera, and bright shades of oil, perfect proportions of man and nature result an original artistic quality. Details with anatomic authenticity, e.g. the clothes around the knees, and the legs, together with colours stress realistic, human and earthly qualities, which harmonize with and oppose "eternal" landscape transformed with light and air.
