CZAUCZIK, József
(1789, Lőcse - 1857, Lőcse)

Painter. After attending the Academy in Vienna, he returned to Lőcse, his native town. He painted altar-pieces, portraits, family events mostly alfresco and landscapes. His pictures were seldom better than average. "János Dániel Prihradny and his Family", which was unfortunately completely destroyed during World War II, was one of the alfresco portrayals typical of him.
