Csók returned to Hungary in 1911. The most valuable pieces of his oeuvre were born in the years that followed. They comprised townscapes, interiors, a few excellent portraits and the very successful Züzü series painted of his little daughter. These elegant and attractive paintings suitable for the decoration of middle-class homes reflect the inner world of a serene and harmonious personality, of one who has reached his haven. After the outbreak of the First World War this harmony dissolved.
