BRUCK, Lajos
(1846, Pápa - 1910, Budapest)



Genre and portrait painter, elder brother of painter Miksa Bruck. He studied in Vienna and Italy. From 1874 he lived in Paris, and from 1886 in London, then settled in Budapest for good from 1894. He created his artworks in the style of naturalism. He painted genres, portraits and town details. Several of his paintings can be found in the Hungarian National Gallery.
