Beginning of the End

Beginning of the End is one of the last works of Margit Anna. The explanation of the title can be read on the reverse:

I have to confess: I struggled with this picture for ten days before I realized why the paint was so difficult to work with: because it was tempera. So for it to come to life at all, it has to be treated as watercolour, sometimes in one manner, sometimes in another, because the ochre of the face, for example, is oil. So let the title be: the beginning of the end. Anna Margit 1989. The data is mistaken.
