Margit Anna painted the fisherman, a key figure of her oevre, in a number of variations in the late 1940s. The grey-haired old man is standing in front of a blue background and is holding a blue fish, typical of his person, in the hand. The figure of the fisherman turned up again in her oevre in 1979 with the only difference that she placed a fish as hair and an attribute of his job, on a big, round bubble-head.
