Walking on the Thightrope

Anna rarely depicted motion in her pictures, and the work known as Walking the Tightrope or Symbol is one of the few examples: a female figure runs holding a devotional candle in one hand and a protectively leafy branch in the other. The woman balancing on the tightrope, to judge from her features and hairstyle, is Margit Anna herself.
