ANNA, Margit
(1913, Borota - 1991, Budapest)

Two Women with Guinea-hen

1934
Tempera on paper, 58 x 62 cm
Private collection

Margit Anna's earliest works are the drawings, mostly female nude studies. Apart from the drawings, a few of Margit Anna's paintings have also come down to us from the early thirties. Painted with mellow colours, these pictures of diverse themes recurrently feature a plump female figure with a sleepy expression on her face, resembling the model of the nude studies, like in Two Women with Guinea-hen.
