Monument to György Serédy

1549
Marble
St Egidius Church, Bártfa

The type of the Gothic funeral monuments survives in the Hungarian Highlands even during the 16th century. However, due to the Turkish occupation they are not made of the red marble of Esztergom as in the earlier period. One of the best examples of them is the monument to György Serédy, embedded in the church wall.
