UNKNOWN GOTHIC MASTER, sculptor
(15th century)

Mary with the Child

1460-70
Wood, height: 65 cm
Roman Catholic Parish Church, Dozmat

The sculpture was intended to be seen both from the front and the back sides. Its original function is indicated by the stub of a rod: it was a procession statue. Stylistically it is close to style of the Salzburg sculpture in the 1460s.
