Painter and graphic artist, the wife of Lajos Vajda. She pursued art studies in the School of Applied Art and under the tutoring of Vilmos Aba Novák. She was a regular participant of the exhibitions of the New Society of Artists. Her first one-artist exhibition was held in 1948. At the start of her career the tracing, colouration and patch-rhythm of her compositions was akin to surrealism. Later her art was characterised by more emphatic lines and geometric image building. She made oil paintings, guach pieces and pencil drawings. Some typical works: Composition III. (1960); Winged Figure (1960); Circles and Rectangles (1977); Picture in Red (1974); Stairs (1974-79).
