STOCK, János Márton
(1742, Nagyszeben - 1800, Nagyszeben)
Painter and drawer. He studied at the Vienna Academy. He did woodcuts for Elek Horányi's "Memoria Hungarorum" and drawings for the "Ungarisches Magazin". From 1786 onwards, he worked in Transylvania as a major portrait painter inspired by rococo.
