Máttis Teutsch, who was born in Brasov and who had a style of his own sensitive to isms of the early 20th c., painted "Corn Flowers" probably around 1910. It still includes naturalistic forms of corn flowers but the background already consists of colourful, winding lines. "Still-Life" is very likely to come from the same period as "Corn Flowers" as it has the same set of colours.
