BESZÉDES, László
(1874, Feled - 1922, Budapest)



Sculptor. He attended the School of Industrial Design. He created a relief for a bank in Constantinople in 1890. He worked together with Friedl and Hehrer in Vienna, then went to Munich and Paris on a study trip. Working for the French Institute of Carthography, he travelled extensively in French colonies in Asia and Africa. His small terracotta and bronze statuettes, as well as figurines of farmers, are quite famous.
